The One Day Referee Course will be held on October 8th and the two day course will be held November 5 and 6 in Camrose. At this time it is not available on the Hockey Alberta Website but stay tuned as it should be coming up soon.

Clinic Program Changes:
The following are the new requirements to attend clinics:
One-Day Clinic
Must have registered as an official the previous year
Must be registering as a level 2 official or higher for the current hockey season
Two-Day Clinic
All first time officials. Age and hockey experience are not a factor
All experienced officials that did not officiate the previous year
All level one officials

HOW TO REGISTER FOR A CLINIC IN CAMROSE
Under the elearning link noted above, click on the ehockey site. Enter your email address and password if you are a previous official if you can not remember your password you must email Kevin Macrae at kmacrae@hockeyalberta.ca and he will send you a password. If you are a new official you must create a new profile. After you enter the hockey Canada site you can click the clinic link and the clinics will be there. The one day clinics are for a previous officials and must be 16 years of age or older if you are younger or were not registered previous to last year you must take the two day clinic on Nov 5th and 6th.
The officials do not need to do the course as there are too many inconsistencies in the course so the course is not mandatory to complete this year. It still does not hurt to complete the course as it does give an overall basics but there are a few things in there that need to be updated.
